Question

I was watching a TV show and one of the characters was able to make his
girlfriend very excited by touching or rubbing some part of the back of
her knee. I was wondering what it was that he could have done to cause
this, if this is at all possible. Is there really a sexual spot on the
back of a woman's knee?

Yes, of course there is. There is also a super-special, secret spot on her
neck, and her earlobes, and on her inner ankles, and on her eyelids, and at
the base of her spine, and... you get the idea.
Do some women like to have the backs of their knees stimulated? Yes, of course
they do. It is an area where the skin is quite thin and there are a lot of nerve
endings. Is there something magical about this area? No.
The reality is that every woman (and man) is different in what she (or he) finds
exciting and arousing. The best way to find out what you or your partner like is
to try things and talk about it.
Have fun exploring!
